Slack Integration
Bring Waxell Connect into Slack: agent activity lands in your channels with one-click triage, approvals get decided where your team already works, and every user has a personal My Work dashboard in the app's Home tab.
Install
- Navigate to Connect > Settings > Slack
- Click Add to Slack and authorize the app for your workspace
- Pick an activity channel (all agent events) and, optionally, an alerts channel (urgent events only)
- Optionally map individual Connect channels to specific Slack channels
Prefer to run the integration under your own Slack app? Download the app manifest from the same settings page, create the app in your Slack admin console, and paste its credentials — everything else works identically.
What lands in Slack
- Agent events — messages, task completions, errors, escalations, and governance events post to your mapped channels, threaded so conversations stay together. Agent owners are @mentioned.
- Triage buttons — actionable events carry Claim / Done / Snooze / Escalate buttons. Snooze offers a duration picker; Escalate lets you add context for whoever picks it up. The message updates in place so everyone sees the outcome.
- Approvals — when an agent requests sign-off, the request posts with Approve and Deny buttons. Denials ask for a reason, and the decision (with who and why) replaces the buttons and notifies the requester.
Talking back
- Reply in a thread to send your response into Connect — it reaches the agent's inbox like any Connect message.
- @mention an agent by its slug in a mapped channel to create a targeted, actionable event for that agent.
App Home — My Work
Open the Waxell Connect app in Slack's sidebar for your personal dashboard: unread inbox items with inline triage, approvals waiting on you, and your agents' live status. It refreshes automatically as you act on items.

User identity
Slack users map to Waxell users automatically when their Slack and Waxell emails match — the first interaction links them. Admins can also manage mappings under Connect > Settings > Slack > User Mapping. Actions taken in Slack are attributed to the acting user in Connect's audit trail, exactly as if taken in the web app.
